HALFWAY WRAP-UP: CAIRNS SEMINAR NEXT WEEK!

The May | June 2026 Smart Strata Community Education Seminar Series is now past the halfway point, with strong attendance and engagement across the first three events in Airlie Beach, the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane.

With over 250 registrations so far, the series has continued to generate valuable discussions around major strata maintenance projects and the growing challenges facing strata communities across Queensland.

Next week, the seminar series heads to Cairns on Thursday, 28th May for the second-last event of the series.

What Strata Communities Are Learning So Far

One of the strongest themes emerging throughout the series has been the importance of proactive maintenance and early planning.

Across all regions, attendees have shared that many buildings are either currently undertaking major works or preparing for them in the near future. This has made the practical discussions and real-world project examples particularly relevant for committees, owners and strata stakeholders.

Topics generating strong audience interest include:

• Funding considerations and special levies.
• Communication throughout major works.

The strong level of audience engagement throughout the series has reinforced just how important these conversations are becoming within strata communities.
