FINAL SEMINAR SERIES WRAP-UP | PRIZE WINNER ANNOUNCED NEXT WEEK!

The May | June 2026 Smart Strata Community Education Seminar Series has officially concluded, and this seminar series wrap-up reflects on five successful events held across Airlie Beach, the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane, Cairns and the Gold Coast.

Delivered in partnership with Archers the Strata Professionals, the half yearly seminar series focused on:

Maintenance & Major Projects: the who, what, when, why and how

Over the course of the series, we saw over 500 registrations bringing together committees, owners, strata managers and industry stakeholders from across Queensland to explore the challenges and opportunities associated with major strata maintenance projects.

A Strong Response Across All Regions

The response to the seminar series exceeded expectations, with strong attendance, high levels of audience participation and valuable discussions occurring at every event.

One of the clearest messages throughout the series was that many strata communities are either currently planning major works or expect significant projects to arise in the coming years.

As buildings continue to age and project complexity increases, attendees were eager to learn more about:

• Proactive maintenance and early defect identification.
• Remediation planning and project delivery.
• Funding considerations and affordability.
• Governance and decision-making.
• Communication and stakeholder engagement.
• And managing risk throughout major works projects.

The practical nature of the discussions resonated strongly with audiences, with attendees consistently valuing the real-world examples, project case studies and expert insights shared throughout the series.

Strong Engagement and Outstanding Feedback Across the Series

The 2026 half-yearly Smart Strata Community Education Seminar Series concluded with strong attendance, enthusiastic participation and valuable discussions across all five locations.

Throughout the series, attendees actively engaged with presenters, asked thoughtful questions and took advantage of networking opportunities with industry experts and fellow strata stakeholders.

Feedback from attendees was overwhelmingly positive, with the vast majority rating the seminar experience 10 out of 10, and every respondent indicating they would attend future seminar events.

The topic of major maintenance projects clearly resonated with audiences across Queensland, highlighting the growing importance of proactive planning, informed decision-making and effective project management within strata communities.

While the May/June seminar series has now concluded, planning is already underway for our next Smart Strata Community Education Seminar Series.
